Kids

Discovering your true identity early on in life is super important. Our aim is to introduce children to Jesus and help dig in foundations for a life built on Him.

CFC Kids

Vision

Our Vision

To create a space in which kids can safely come, make new friends, learn about God, interact with the Holy Spirit and ultimately be introduced to a friendship with Jesus.

Core Values

  • God desires our relationship with each one of us
  • Kids are a vital part of church life
  • Kids church is just that, a church and community, not just somewhere kids go while the adults are at church.
  • Kids church is accessible for every child

How we do this

Friendship

It's our heart that children see their kids church as an extension of their own family. Building friendship and community within our kids zones is one of our core values, and in all of our programs we ensure there are opportunities for children to make new friendships. This can be through games, challenges, trips away and the example set by our team.

Learning about God

All of our teaching content here at CFC kids is written in house. Regardless of the age or zone, we tried to ensure that there's a threat of continuity, to encourage conversations at home on a Sunday afternoon about what all the kids have learned that morning. Because all of our teaching is written in house, we ensure that it's relevant, practical and communicated in a way that the kids simply get.

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit moves through each one of us and helps us better connect with God. We encourage our kids to be open to hearing from him, and understanding that the Holy Spirit is there to help us better interact with God. We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are seen, found and work through our kids.

Friendship with Jesus

Our aim is to ensure that every child understands their value and worth, that there is a great big girl out there who loves him and desires friendship with them. We teach that Jesus was sent to enable each one of us to have that friendship with God. We encourage our kids to think about stepping into that relationship with Jesus.

Multi site

We are so fortunate to have incredible kids zones across all of our sites, and all sites share our same vision statement and core values.

Accessibility

We believe that every child is created in the image of God and that every child has the right to hear about His amazing love. At CFC kids we try to ensure that all of our teaching is accessible to every child and when needed our SuperKids team steps in and can provide a one-to-one or little assistance to some children who may need it.
Watch and Catchup

Kids Online

We are aware that not every child can get to church. Whether it's sick tummies or busy work life schedules, sometimes Sunday morning church just does not happen. To ensure that kids always have access to teaching, fun and a sense of community, we have a selection of fun teaching resources and kids programs on our CFC YouTube channel please see our resources section for links.

SafeGuarding

You are safe here! Safeguarding is a priority at CFC.

We are committed to creating a safe environment for our children, young people and adults at risk of harm at CFC. If you have concerns regarding the safety or welfare of a child, young person or an adult at risk of harm you can contact our Safeguarding Co-ordinator:

Leigh McFarlane
Confidential phone: 07895 446091
E-mail: safeguarding@thisiscfc.com

We have a formal Safeguarding Policy that underpins all aspects of church life. A copy can be seen on request from either the Safeguarding Co-ordinator or the church office.

Becoming a friend of Jesus

Taking the step to become a friend of Jesus is a 'biggy'. Maybe its something you have been thinking about for a while, or perhaps off the back of our online special or weekly material you have decided that a life with Jesus as a friend is the one for you! Either way, well done for being brave! Well done for stepping forward and realising that life can be tricky, scary, amazing and tough all at the same time, but with Jesus involved, you are never alone and will always have someone there to help guide you, love you and carry you trough those tougher times.

Below is a short prayer. Prayer is how we talk to God & God always hears our prayers. He may not always answer in the way (or time scale) that we want, but God always wants the best for us. By praying this prayer you are saying sorry for the SIN in your life (Sin is all the things that are wrong and sin is the thing that separates us from God and Heaven), you will be asking Jesus into your life as your best friend and admitting that you need His help.

'Dear Jesus, thank you for loving me, thank you for dying on a cross for my sin and loving me each day. I am sorry for doing wrong, please forgive the sin in my life and come into my heart. I need you as my best friend, help me each day to live in a way that makes you happy and helps others. AMEN.

If you prayed that short prayer you have asked Jesus into your life… So what's next? At CFC we really care about you! We want to help you get the most out of life and help you walk closer to Jesus. Please contact us at Kids@thisiscfc.com and we will make contact and ensure that you are linked in with groups similar to your age and background and also send you our material that will help you in the early days with your friendship with Jesus.
